Summary

Sourdaw does not collect personal data from you for its own purposes. The Sourdaw application runs locally in your browser on your machine: your projects and audio are processed on your device, and we do not receive that content on our servers under normal use. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising profiling.

This marketing site

This marketing site does not require you to log in. Sourdaw does not build a database of visitors for advertising or sell personal data. We do not use third-party advertising or social pixels for marketing attribution on this site.

Hosting and infrastructure (data processor)

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical data needed to deliver the site and keep it secure — including your IP address and standard request metadata (such as browser type, requested page, and timestamp). Under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA, an IP address can qualify as personal data. In that role, our hosting provider acts as a data processor(or sub-processor), processing that information for hosting, security, and delivery — not for Sourdaw's own marketing lists.

Vercel Web Analytics (traffic and geography)

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how this marketing site is used: for example how many visitors we receive, which pages are viewed, and approximate geography such as country or region (derived from connection data processed by Vercel). Vercel may also show aggregated device and browser information. That processing is performed by Vercel as part of the same infrastructure relationship described above. We use these insights only to operate and improve the site — not to profile individuals for advertising, and we do not sell this data.

The analytics script is not loaded until you choose Accept on the banner at the bottom of the page. If you choose Decline, we do not load Vercel Web Analytics for that browser. Your choice is stored locally in your browser (for example via local storage) so we do not have to ask on every visit unless you clear site data. Vercel's Web Analytics product is designed not to rely on third-party cookies; see Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation for how they describe their product.

The Sourdaw application

The application at app.sourdaw.studio operates local-first. Your audio files, project data, and session content are processed on your device and are not sent to Sourdaw's servers for storage or processing under ordinary use. You remain in control unless you explicitly choose to share or export content.

Where optional features involve external services — such as AI model inference or peer-to-peer session sharing — those features will disclose relevant data flows at the point of use. No audio or project data is transmitted without your action.

Collaboration sessions

Peer-to-peer collaboration uses direct connections between participants. Session data is transmitted between connected peers and is not stored on Sourdaw servers. Session tokens are ephemeral and expire when the session ends.

Local AI features

Local AI features run inference on your device. Model weights are downloaded to your machine and processed locally. No audio or prompt data is sent to external servers when using local models.

Contact

Questions about data handling can be directed to the project maintainers. Sourdaw is in active development; this policy will be updated as features and infrastructure evolve.
